We apologise that, due to the ongoing pandemic, we have had to reorganise our activities at WHISC. We are still providing services for women and are carefully beginning to open the Centre up in line with the latest COVID-19 restrictions. This will be reviewed weekly.

WHISC are continuing to provide services for women. We have Zoom rooms, online services and support over the phone, as well as being able to visit the Centre. ENGLISH CONVERSATION

Up to 30 minute, one-to-one sessions on the phone for any woman looking to improve their English. Please call WHISC to book with Annie.

CRISIS

For crisis support, listening ears, walk ‘n’ talk, and solution focused therapy. Call us to book.

MENOPAUSE, GYNAECOLOGICAL, POSTPARTUM & PERINATAL HEALTH SUPPORT

HATE CRIME

WHISC are a Hate Crime Reporting Centre. A hate crime is any incident which the victim, or anyone else, thinks is based on someone’s prejudice (e.g because of race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or gender). We are here to support you.

DIRECTIONS – TRAINING COURSE
How are you coping during these difficult times? Have you lost confidence or suffering with low-self-esteem?

Our Directions project aims to support women in the Liverpool City Region who are unemployed or economically inactive, and over 18 years of age. The course aims to help you explore your levels of confidence/self-esteem and help you move towards job searches and the workplace. We will support you in developing skills to look for work, education or training, create your CV, practice and expand your interview skills.

This course is partly funded by the ESF.

Tutor: Anne Quinton
Where: Via ZOOM (Face2face, when/if permissible)
When: THURSDAYS FROM 15TH APRIL 12.30 – 2.30 PM
Duration: 6 weeks (with 1-2-1 support sessions, if needed)

 

THE ‘DO IT’ PROJECT  
This course is for women over the age of 18, who are unemployed, looking to return to work or between jobs, and eligible to work in the UK. It assists them to set goals, increase self-esteem, reduce stress, learn new skills, prepare a CV, and present themselves effectively at interview. It consists of a combination of group work, one-to-one support.

When: THURSDAYS FROM 15TH APRIL 10.15 AM – 12.15 PM
Duration: 9 weeks
