MONDAY

  • DIRECTIONS – MOVING TOWARDS EMPLOYMENT: 10am – 1pm. Helping you develop your confidence and self-esteem by supporting you into training and education.
  • MENOPAUSE, GYNAECOLOGICAL, POSTPARTUM & PERINATAL HEALTH SUPPORT: Appointments: 11am – 2pm. Please call to book with volunteer Dr Ishrat Urmi
  • READING GROUP: 3 – 4pm. No preparation needed, reading materials provided on the day.
  • POETRY GROUP: 3 – 4pm. With Judy on 6th April.
  • MEDITATE & MOVE: 4 – 5pm. On 30th March.
  • SALSA CLASS: 4 – 5pm. On the following dates: 16th and 23rd March.

TUESDAY

  • ENGLISH CLASS (ESOL): 10am – 12 midday. A class designed to help women learn or improve their English. Suitable for beginners.
  • MAKE & TAKE: 12.15 – 1.30pm. Craft session with Denise on 17th March, 21st April.
    & with Elsa on 24th March, 28th April, 26th May.
  • BELLY DANCING: 4 – 5pm with Miki.
  • EATING DISORDER SUPPORT GROUP: 4:30 – 5:30pm. Please call to book.

WEDNESDAY

  • INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: 11th March, 10.30am – 4pm.
    Join us for our celebration of womanhood in all its shapes and sizes. Includes taster classes in Craft, Belly Dancing, and Salsa. Plus tea, coffee, cake and lots of fun!
  • MENTAL HEALTH APPOINTMENTS: 11am onwards. Face-to-face appointments – booking essential. For anyone who would like information about what support is available from WHISC and other local agencies.
  • YOGA: 1 – 2pm. On the following dates: 18th March.
  • STRENGTH AND SUPPORT: 2:30 – 4:00pm. Weekly support group for anyone with depression or anxiety. 

THURSDAY

  • KNITTEN’ KITTENS CLUB: 10:30am – 12:30pm. Knitting, crocheting, embroidery and quilting weekly get-together.
  • MENTAL HEALTH APPOINTMENTS: 11am onwards. Face-to-face appointments – booking essential. For anyone who would like information about what support is available from WHISC and other local agencies.
  • ANTENATAL BELLY DANCING CLASS: 1:15 – 2:15pm. With Tara. First 4 classes FREE! Please get medical advice before attending. Beginners welcome.
  • THYME TO GROW: 2 – 4pm. Allotment off Park Road, Liverpool, L8. Please call if you are interested in attending: 07873318846
  • SINGING: 2:30 – 4pm. Lets make beautiful music together!
  • TAI CHI: 4.15 – 5.15pm. Starts 26th March.

FRIDAY

  • THE WHY GROUP: 12 – 2pm. Self-support group for women.
  • UKULELE GROUP: 2:30 – 4pm. Beginners welcome!

SATURDAY

  • SATURDAY CLUB: 11am – 2pm. A group supporting the integration of all women.

2 part course on 9th and 15th March, 1pm – 3:30pm.
This course aims to help participants develop the skills to facilitate group discussion and support.

LEARN HOW TO PRODUCE MICRO GREENS
FREE 12-week Training course. Started 5th March (Still accepting new participants), 10am – 1pm.

Below are the average steps taken by different women, including many of the women who use our services.

We know that women are the pillars of their families and communities but often don’t have time for themselves. To appreciate the distances that other women have to walk, we are encouraging people to measure the steps that they take and maybe increase them a little to match the steps of one of the women in the picture above.

If you would like to walk in the shoes of other wonderful women, donate £5 below and collect your pedometer from WHISC at 120 Bold Street (please make sure to leave your name with your donation). Then get people to sponsor you to walk your steps.

This fundraising venture is suitable for anyone. Please use our Facebook page to let us know how you get on or use #inhershoes on Instagram.

There are three ways you can raise funds:

  1. Pay for your pedometer
  2. Get sponsored to walk (when you have your pedometer)
  3. Sponsor someone taking part

Christmas can be “the most wonderful time of the year”, but it can also cause stress & worry. Here are some tips to ease stress around this busy time:

  • Share out jobs so you are not left feeling tired out.
  • Do the jobs that are the most important first, leave the others till last. 
  • Take some time to have a break and relax. Just 30 minutes will help!
