Drop-In

WHISC is open daily for general enquiries. Please feel to drop-in Monday to Thursday, 10am-4pm.

As the time given by our wonderful class leaders is done so voluntarily, we are able to provide many FREE classes.

Call us on the day that you plan to visit to check that the class is running and that the time is unchanged on 0151 707 1826.


Monday

Women’s Reading Group: No preparation needed, reading materials provided on the day 3-4.15pm

Yoga for Wellbeing: Weekly, 4.30-5.30pm FREE  On 11th and 18th March, then not running until Monday 29th April.

Tuesday

English Class (ESOL) 10am -12 midday A class designed to help women learn or improve their English

Make & Take Tuesday – crafting workshop 12.15-1.30 pm  Class Leaders: Mai & Denise.  Donation please towards materials.  (Next on 2nd April )

Qi Gong for Beginners (A continuing course) FREE 6-week course 3.00-4.00pm

On this 6-week course you will learn about the Oriental Energy System and how you can use it to enhance your own personal energy.

Eating Disorder Support Group:  4.30-5.30 pm, just come along and join us.

Wednesday

Yoga: Blossom Tree Yoga from Rachael & Kate 1.15 -2.15pm

Mental Health Appointments: Weekly, 11am onwards. Face-to-face appointments. Open for anyone who would like information about what support is available from WHISC and other local agencies. FREE  

Strength and Support: Weekly, 2.30-4.00pm. Support Group for anyone with depression or anxiety. FREE  

Domestic Abuse Support Group: Weekly, 4.15-5.15pm


Thursday

Mental Health Appointments: Weekly, 11am onwards. Face-to-face appointments. Open for anyone who would like information about what support is available from WHISC and other local agencies.

Knitten’ Kittens Club: Weekly 1030 – 12.30 Knitting, crocheting, embroidery and quilting get together.

Pilates:  Weekly, 1-2 pm FREE  NO CLASS 20th December (no Pilates 7th and 14th March and 11th and 18th April)

Tai Chi : Weekly 5.00 -6.00 pm FREE. Back again on 14th March.

Friday

The WHY Group: Weekly, 12-2pm. Self-support group for women. FREE

Ukulele Group: NEW 2.30 pm – 4:00 pm Beginners welcome!

 


Saturday

Saturday Club: A group supporting the integration of all women, 11.00-2.00pm FREE  


Daily

‘WINDOWS’ With WHISC: Available to women needing help with using computers or the internet. We cover things such as how to turn a computer on and off, use search engines and basic software… to how to Skype friends and relatives across the world, online shopping, and staying safe online. All sessions are FREE but need to be booked in advance.
