Weekly Programme


WHISC is open daily for general enquiries. Please feel to drop-in Monday to Thursday, 10am-4pm. As the time given by our wonderful, first class, leaders is done so voluntarily, we are able to provide many FREE classes. We do ask that you please make a donation, whenever possible please.

We also offer specific information and support as follows:


Menopause Support: Second Monday of every month, 1-3pm

Women’s Reading Group: Weekly, 3-4.15pm

Yoga for Wellbeing: Weekly, 4.30-5.30pm (Not 21st AND 28th AUGUST)

Late opening* 5-7pm


Belly Dancing: Join Tara at 12.45-1.45 pm. This FREE class is running throughout the year, on the following dates: SEPTEMBER 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th | OCTOBER 3rd, 10th | NOVEMBER 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th | DECEMBER 5th, 12th

Get Crafty: NEW – every third Tuesday of the month, 12.15-1.45 pm Donation

Acting Class: Weekly, 2-3pm. Whether you’re a beginner, a natural or just fancy doing something different, join Kate for this innovative drama class FREE PLEASE NOTE: No classes until 5th September

Back to Life Soul Spa: Weekly, 5.30-6.30pm FREE PLEASE NOTE: Not on Tuesday 8th August

Yoga: Weekly, 12-1 pm. Great for mind and body, this class is suitable and accessible for complete beginners to experienced yoginis. FREE PLEASE NOTE: No class 30th August

Strength and Support: Weekly, 2.30-4.00pm. Support Group for anyone with depression or anxiety. FREE

Mental Health Drop-In: Weekly, 1-2.30pm and 3.30-4.30pm. Open for anyone who would like information about what support is available from WHISC and other local agencies. FREE

Domestic Abuse Support Group: Referral from agencies only


Pilates: Weekly, 1-2 pm Please NOTE no class on 3rd and 10th of August, back on 17th onwards FREE 

Tai Chi: Weekly from 21st September  6-7 pm FREE. No classes in WHISC October but Lis is running one 5-6 pm at St. Lukes (Bombed Out Church). It’s a mixed, outdoor class, all are welcome and payment is by donation

Eating Disorder Support Group: Postponed until further notice.

The WHY Group: Weekly, 12-2pm. Self-support group for women. FREE

Postnatal & Perinatal Depression: NEW Support Group: Weekly, 10-11.45am. FREE

WHISC is also open for the ‘DO It’ project on Fridays. FREE


Saturday Club: A group supporting the integration of all women, 11.00-2.00pm FREE


‘WINDOWS’ With WHISC: Available to women needing help with using computers or the internet. We cover things such as how to turn a computer on and off, use search engines and basic software… to how to Skype friends and relatives across the world, online shopping, and staying safe online. All sessions are FREE but need to be booked in advance.
