Weekly Programme


WHISC is open daily for general enquiries. Please feel to drop-in Monday to Thursday, 10am-4pm.

As the time given by our wonderful class leaders is done so voluntarily, we are able to provide many FREE classes.It is also worth calling us on the day that you plan to visit to check that the class is running and that the time is unchanged.

We do ask that you please make a donation, whenever possible please.

We also offer specific information and support as follows:


Menopause Support: Second Monday of every month, 1-3pm FREE  (Currently not running)

Voice Workshop: 6-week workshop starting 4th June Join Floyd to learn how to speak from your heart

Eating Disorder Support Group:  1.30-3.00 pm, just come along and join us.

Women’s Reading Group: No preparation needed, reading materials provided on the day 3-4.15pm

Yoga for Wellbeing: Weekly, 4.30-5.30pmFREE

Qi Gong & Relaxation NEW 6-week Course Starting 3rd July 3.30-4.30 pm – Learn how to experience your “Chi” Energy and how to use it for your health and best state of being.

First class is an introduction and all are welcome. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Feel and work with your energy system, to use it for whatever you want or need to. The better your energy, the better your life.

Qigong is the ancient art of Cultivating Energy, and The Smile Down practice is the first in a larger programme  of The Eight Extra Ordinary Meridians, taught at The Personal Energy Centre. The Smile Down is a deeply relaxing internal meditation (seated) that connects you with your inherent positive emotions, bringing you back to and enhancing your true nature. The course will be taught by Jane who has trained with James MacRitchie , founding President of The National Qigong (Chi King ) Association USA.

WHISC for North Liverpool Women – WHISC will be providing a mini-service at Vauxhall Medical Centre in North Liverpool. Sessions will include taster massages, exercise classes, health workshops & a chance to talk. Contact us for further information or Call Vauxhall Medical Centre on 0151 295 3737.

Yoga: Weekly, 1-2pm (Until Christmas normally 11.45-12.45) Great for mind and body, this class is suitable and accessible for complete beginners to experienced yoginis. FREE  

Strength and Support: Weekly, 2.00-4.00pm. Support Group for anyone with depression or anxiety. FREE  

Mental Health Appointments: Weekly, 11am onwards. Face-to-face appointments. Open for anyone who would like information about what support is available from WHISC and other local agencies. FREE  

Domestic Abuse Support Group: Weekly, 4.15-5.15pm Referral from agencies only

English Class (ESOL): 10.00am-12.00pm A class designed to help women learn or improve their English, last one 29th June then off for Summer until September.

The WHY Group: Weekly, 12-2pm. Self-support group for women. FREE

Ukulele Group: NEW 2.30 pm – 4:00 pm Beginners welcome!

Postnatal & Perinatal Depression: NEW Support Group: Weekly, 10-11.45am. FREE

WHISC is also open for the ‘DO It’ project on Fridays. FREE


Saturday Club: A group supporting the integration of all women, 11.00-2.00pm FREE  (No Saturday Club for one week on Saturday 28th July, then on as normal from Saturday 4th August)


‘WINDOWS’ With WHISC: Available to women needing help with using computers or the internet. We cover things such as how to turn a computer on and off, use search engines and basic software… to how to Skype friends and relatives across the world, online shopping, and staying safe online. All sessions are FREE but need to be booked in advance.
