Weekly Programme


WHISC is open daily for general enquiries. Please feel to drop-in Monday to Thursday, 10am-4pm.

As the time given by our wonderful class leaders is done so voluntarily, we are able to provide many FREE classes.It is also worth calling us on the day that you plan to visit to check that the class is running and that the time is unchanged.

We do ask that you please make a donation, whenever possible please.

We also offer specific information and support as follows:


ZUMBA – with Arabic Translator 11.30 – 12.30 pm (This class is not on Monday 22 October)

Women’s Reading Group: No preparation needed, reading materials provided on the day 3-4.15pm

Yoga for Wellbeing: Weekly, 4.30-5.30pm FREE  (NO YOGA 22nd October back on 29th October)

Women’s Health in Hard Times 6-week-course 10-12 pm

Make & Take Tuesday – crafting workshop 12.15-1.30 pm  Class Leaders: Mai & Denise (This class is NOT ON Tuesday 2 October and awaiting start date) Donation please towards materials


Qi Gong for Beginners FREE 6-week course Tuesday 23rd October 3.00-4.00pm 

On this 6-week course you will learn about the Oriental Energy System and how you can use it to enhance your own personal energy.

Eating Disorder Support Group:  4.30-5.30 pm, just come along and join us.

This Wednesday, 10th October join us at WHISC for World Mental Health Day. FREE Taster massages, refreshments, drumming workshop, bellydancing, yoga and more!

WHISC for North Liverpool Women – WHISC will be providing a mini-service at Vauxhall Medical Centre in North Liverpool. Sessions will include taster massages, exercise classes, health workshops & a chance to talk. Contact us for further information or Call Vauxhall Medical Centre on 0151 295 3737.

Do It Course – 10 week course, starts 17th October 9.30-12.30 Improve your employment skills: Set goals, increase self esteem, reduce stress, CV writing & interview preparation. (Optional volunteering opportunity at WHISC).

Yoga: Weekly, 1-2pm (Until Christmas normally 11.45-12.45) Great for mind and body, this class is suitable and accessible for complete beginners to experienced yoginis. FREE  

Strength and Support: Weekly, 2.00-4.00pm. Support Group for anyone with depression or anxiety. FREE  

Mental Health Appointments: Weekly, 11am onwards. Face-to-face appointments. Open for anyone who would like information about what support is available from WHISC and other local agencies. FREE  

Domestic Abuse Support Group: Weekly, 4.15-5.15pm Referral from agencies only

Knitten’ Kittens ClubKnitting, crochet, embroidery and quilting group will run from 1030 – 12.30 September (Date tbc)

Tai Chi: Weekly AT THE New time 5.00 -6.00 pm FREE. No Class 18/25th October. Back 1st November.

WHISC is also open for the ‘DO It’ project on Fridays. FREE


Saturday Club: A group supporting the integration of all women, 11.00-2.00pm FREE  (No Zumba 20th October)


‘WINDOWS’ With WHISC: Available to women needing help with using computers or the internet. We cover things such as how to turn a computer on and off, use search engines and basic software… to how to Skype friends and relatives across the world, online shopping, and staying safe online. All sessions are FREE but need to be booked in advance.
