Our Services

The Women’s Health Information & Support Centre (WHISC) is a charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women and their families.

When a woman walks in, we will see them there and then. We offer services for every woman from a Listening Ear to Counselling, Brief Crisis Intervention to a Knitting Group and Yoga… and many more things in between.

Available Services

Complementary Therapies

Women-only complementary therapies. Our highly qualified therapists are available from 10am until 5pm, Monday to Thursday.

Outreach, Training & Courses

With over 30 years of training and community outreach experience, we offer a wide range of health awareness workshops and courses. These are provided at our centre and via outreach sessions in communities throughout Merseyside.

Emotional Wellbeing & Mental Health

All of our services are designed to support women’s emotional wellbeing and mental health. We offer a wide range of services to suit every woman.

Support Groups

Find out if there is a peer support group to meet your needs. WHISC works with groups to help them achieve their aims. Guest speakers and activities are arranged whenever possible. Our support groups are also FREE to attend.

What’s On

WHISC is open daily for general enquiries. Please feel to drop-in or call between 10am-4pm, Monday to Thursday.

From Yoga and Tai Chi to Knitting and Craft and so much more in between, we provide a wide range of classes to help improve women’s wellbeing.

As the time given by our wonderful class leaders is done so voluntarily, we are able to provide many of our classes for FREE.

Call us on the day you plan to visit on 0151 707 1826 to check that the class is running and that the time is unchanged.

Drop-In

Visit WHISC’s Drop-In, where you will be greeted by one of the friendly team. You may fancy a cup of tea and a chat, want to use the Listening Ear service or simply find out more about the services on offer.
